Shepherds Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, mashed

  • 1/4 cup shredded chedder cheese

  • 1 cup carrots

  • 1 cup peas

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 pound lean ground beef

  • 1 tbsp purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp gravy mix

  • 2 tbsp HP sauce

  • 1/2 cup water or beef broth

  • Paprika

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375 F
  • Prepare mashed potatoes as you would serve them (i.e. with butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper). Add cheese to mashed potatoes
  • Cook carrots and roughly mash
  • Cook ground beef with onions. Add flour, gravy mix, broth, and HP. Simmer 5 mins until thick
  • Layer beef, carrots, peas, and potatoes. Sprinkle with paprika
  • Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes until golden brown
