Philly Steak Sandwich

Ingredients – Beef

  • 1 1/2 large onion, sliced

  • 9 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 3 pounds beef sirloin roast, cut into 1 inch strips

  • 1/2 tbsp cumin

  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tbsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp thyme

  • 1 tsp majoram

  • 1 tsp basil

  • 6 cubs beef bouillion

  • 1/4 cup bourbon (Such as Jim Beam)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire

  • 1/2 tbsp hot sauce

  • 2 cans beer

  • INGREDIENTS – TOPPINGS
  • Red onion, sliced

  • Green pepper, sliced

  • Red pepper, sliced

  • Jalapenos, sliced

  • Swiss cheese

  • Monterey Jack cheese

  • Sub Buns

Directions

  • Spread onion and garlic in to bottom of slow cooker
  • Layer beef over onions and garlic
  • Add Ingredients over beef
  • Pour beer over beef
  • Cook on low heat for 8 hours stirring every hour or so
  • Once cooked, reserve liquid for ‘Au Jus’
  • Brown buns
  • Layer meat and toppings onto single side of bun
  • Broil to melt cheese
  • Top with bun
  • Serve with Au Jus
