Jambalaya

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage

  • 1 cup brown rice, cooked

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 green pepper, chopped

  • 1 celery stalk, chopped

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup tomatoes, chopped

  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire

  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce

  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper

Directions

  • Brown sausage. Cut into slices
  • Prepare brown rice
  • Saute onions, celery and garlic in butter
  • Add remaining ingredients
  • Boil, reduce heat, simmer for 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and rice is cooked
