Ingredients
1-1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 to 5 cloves of garlic, pressed
3 to 4 carrots, chopped
3 to 4 celery stalks, chopped
1 can (396mL) of diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce (796mL)
4 cups beef broth
1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons oregano
2 tablespoons basil
salt and pepper to taste
3 cups noodles

Pearled barley (instead of noodles)
Directions
- Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic.
- Semi-cook noodles. They should still be semi-hard.
If using pearled barley, simply add to slow cooker. - Mix all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
