Ingredients
1-1/2 lbs chicken breast
Pita Shells
Marinade
10 garlic cloves
2 tbsp oregano
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white wine
Juice of 1 lemon
Suggested Pita Fixings (add to your taste)
Tzaziki Sauce
Tomatoes
Onions
Lettuce
Pickles
Olives
Directions
- Marinade (2 to 24 hours)
- In a food processor (which you’ll use to make the tzaziki sauce later), add marinade ingredients. Pulse until well combined.
- Cut chicken into 1-1/2″ cubes.
- Place chicken into a large bag.
- Add marinade into bag.
- Refrigerate for 2-24 hours.
- Soak Skewers (2 hours)
- Soak 10 wooden skewers in water for 2 hours.
- Cook Chicken
- Prepare BBQ on medium heat.
- Add chicken to skewers.
- Grill chicken (8-15 minutes). Remove and let rest 3 minutes.
- Finishing Touches
- Grill pitas for 30 seconds on each side. Do not overheat! Serve immediately!
- Spread Tzaziki on pita.
- Add chicken and toppings (as desired).
