Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
3-1/2 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
4 tbsp heavy cream (or milk)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Beat the butter on medium speed until creamy (about 2 minutes).
- Add icing sugar, cocoa powder, heavy cream, vanilla, and salt. Beat on low for 30 seconds, then increase to high speed for 1 minute.
- Add more icing sugar or cocoa powder (1/4 cup) if frosting is too thin. Or more cream (tbsp) if frosting is too thick.
