Ingredients
3 chicken breasts
1 pounds bacon
Lasagna noodles
6 tbsp butter
6 tbsp flour
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups 3.25% milk
1 1/2 cups grated parmesan
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
4 cups mozzarella, grated
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Cut the chicken into bite size cubes and cook
- Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook
- Prepare lasagna noodles. (Note: oven ready noodles don’t work well. The lasagna will be drier.)
- In a large saucepan melt the butter over medium heat
- Add the garlic and cook until fragrant
- Add the flour and cook for 2 minutes
- Gradually add the milk and whisk continuously. Bring to a boil and the sauce should thicken slightly
- Add 1 cup of parmesan, salt, pepper and parsley. Mix well
- Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of a lasagna pan
- Top with lasagna noodles
- Add half of the chicken
- Add half of the bacon
- Add half of the remaining sauce
- Add 1 cup of mozzarella
- Repeat another multi-layer as above
- Top with remaining 1/2 cup parmesan and remaining 2 cups mozzarella
- Bake for 40 minutes until the top is browned
- Remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes
