Chicken Alfredo Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts

  • 1 pound bacon

  • Lasagna noodles

  • 6 tbsp butter

  • 6 tbsp flour

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 4 cups 3.25% milk

  • 1-1/2 cups grated parmesan

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1tsp pepper

  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

  • 4 cups mozzarella, grated

Directions

  • Preheat over to 350 F
  • Cut the chicken into bite size cubes and cook
  • Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook
  • Prepare lasagna noodles (Note: oven ready noodles don’t work well. The lasagna will be drier.)
  • In a large saucepan melt the butter over medium heat
  • Add the flour and cook until fragrant
  • Add the flour and cook for 2 minutes
  • Gradually add the milk and whisk continuously. Bring to a boil and the sauce should thicken slightly
  • Top with lasagna noodles
  • Add 1 cup of parmesan, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix well
  • Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the lasagna pan
  • Add half of the chicken
  • Add half of the bacon
  • Add half of the remaining sauce
  • Add 1 cup of mozzarella
  • Repeat another multi-layer as above
  • Top with remaining 1/2 cup parmesan and remaining 2 cups mozzarella
  • Bake for 40 minutes until the top is browned
  • Remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes
