Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice (for 4 servings)

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  • Rinse rice in strainer under cold water for 30 seconds
  • Bring 12 cups water to boil in a large pot
  • Add the rice, stir, and boil for 30 minutes
  • Pour the rice into a strainer and drain for 10 seconds.  Return to pot
  • Cover and set aside to let rice steam for 10 minutes
  • Uncover, and fluff with a fork
  • Season with salt
