Baked French Fries

Ingredients- Fries

  • 3 russet potatoes

  • Peanut oil, drizzle

  • INGREDIENTS- SEASONING (Makes Extra)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon basil

  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Wash and peel potatoes.  Cut into fries
  • Add potatoes to large bowl and cover with water.  Soak for at least 30 minutes or overnight
  • Preheat oven to 425 F
  • Drain, rinse, and dry potatoes
  • Mix fries, olive oil, and 1 to 2 tablespoons spices
  • Place on single layer baking sheet
  • Bake 15 minutes
  • Flip
  • Bake 15-25 minutes until ends are slightly burnt
  • Season and serve
  • ALTERNATIVE DIRECTIONS
  • If making the fries ahead of time, place cooked fries in the freezer on the baking sheet
  • After frozen, remove from baking sheet and store
  • To reheat, cook at 425 F for 15 minutes or so
