Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds steak, cut into strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp sherry
cornstarch
1 1/2 pounds tomatoes, cut into wedges, sprinkled with 2
tbsp sugar2 cups broccoli
1/4 cups onions
1/4 cup celery
1 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp salt
Peanut oil
Directions
- Marinate beef for at least 1 hour with soy sauce, sherry, and cornstarch
- Heat peanut oil in pan. Cook beef in batches over high heat. Remove and set aside
- Sauté onions and celery
- Add tomatoes, garlic, ginger, salt and broccoli stalks (not crowns), and simmer covered
- Add broccoli crowns and cook 5 minutes
- Add beef
- Serve over rice
